WELCOME TO AUFO - Austin, TX

Welcome to Arcade UFO, the only Japanese-style Game Center in Texas!

Our goal is to bring you the newest and most interesting arcade titles from Japan, Korea, the USA and other countries while providing a haven for the fighting game, music game and racing game communities.

At the same time, we respect the origin of arcades and always try to feature a few great classic games with our limited space.

We opened Arcade UFO to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Einstein's Arcade (R.I.P.). Our goal is to continue Austin's 20+ year tradition of community-based video arcades.

We welcome gamers of all ages! Alcoholic beverages are not served nor allowed for consumption at the arcade.

Death Smiles: Mega Black Label

Holy moly.  We just finished installing this yesterday, and this is hands-down the creepiest, most fun SHMUP I’ve put my hands on to-date.  Massive amounts of bullets?  Check.  Beautiful 2D sprites?  Check.  Gothic lolita girls with unique magical powers?  Check.

Death Smiles: Mega Black Label is a fresh title straight from Japan that can be appreciated by both hardcore and casual gamers alike, featuring selectable difficulty levels and a “choose-your-stage” formula that allows you to take a different path each time you play.  If zombies, ogres, witches, gothic lolita girls, and/or bullets are of any interest to you whatsoever, you’d best do yourself a favor and get to Arcade UFO post-haste!

1 credit will net you 4 bars of health, which is enough even for a novice to enjoy a lengthy game and become immersed in the world of Death Smiles.

Here’s a preview of the first stage:

  • Congrats on that acquisition, I was thinking that would be a nice seasonal touch. Makes me wish I lived closer than a thousand miles away from you guys :)

  • Selectable difficulty levels are great. On the easier settings, I one-credit-cleared it with no problem, but difficulty 999 is INSANE enough to challenge the best players.

    Something for everyone!
