Arcade UFO

After what’s been quite a roller coaster ride the past couple of weeks, we finally got In the Groove 2 back up. It sucks that so many of our regulars were displaced for this long, but we’ll continue doing our best to make sure the machine is running in ideal condition at all times. Ideally, we would have at least one more rhythm game to satiate the needs of our clientèle in situations like this . . . hmmm!

We had to replace the monitor; the old one totally died. We took this opportunity to upgrade to a tri-sync monitor, which is layman’s terms simply means it ought to look a lot sharper once we get a chance to tweak it a bit more! It already looks damn good (new CRTs always do) so this shiny eye-candy ought to make you quickly forget about the down time.

We’re going to start using the Twitter to post small updates regarding aUFO that are important, but don’t necessarily merit a full blog post. So, the Twitter will give you up-to-the-minute details regarding new games, maintenance, and other happenstances. Examples: “3rd Strike MK on 2P side broken, repair ETA is 8:00PM” “Hsien has a 75-win streak with El Fuerte, will anybody stop him?” “There’s a big crowd here for ITG tonight!” “Gundam is ready!”
